I had a small belly button hernia and was told by my GP to just leave it until it totally hung out and at that point I would then go on a waiting list. Thankfully guys I had private healthcare so I asked for a referral. I was given a choice of surgeons to choose from and after reading other people reviews I chose Mr Dutta and I have to say guys what a lovely guy! He was very nice, he informed me of the process and answered any questions I had. I was offered a small operation to repair this and it was all completed within a few months. The recovery was exactly as I was told and everything went very well. I must also comment about everyone else within the team at the Park hospital in Nottingham, they were also all equally nice and respectful, the nurses really looked after me and nothing was too much trouble. I can strongly recommend Mr Dutta and his team and whilst I don’t wish to return to hospital if I have to I know who I’m going to ask for!

Having been diagnosed with an inguinal hernia a few months ago, I managed to get an appointment with Sam at the Woodthorpe Hospital. Having commitments which meant I was not able to have any lengthy stay in hospital, I opted for keyhole surgery. Sam got me booked in asap and I arrived on the day at 11.00, operation at 1.00 and home for 5.00 pm. Excellent care from Sam throughout and can recommend his expertise and skill to anyone requiring suitable surgery. Apart from being a brilliant surgeon he is a pretty good artist too when he doesn't have a knife in his hand !

I went to Mr Dutta after my wife searched the web for a good hernia specialist ,Mr Dutta looked and was the best .after waiting 18 months via NHS and them not wishing to do this without putting me out because of all my health problems ,I think this was why it took so long .Mr Dutta explained the dangers and offered me the chance to change my mind but together with Dr Green who also told me everything I wished to know .Dr Green checked my weight and gave me the lowest dose for a spinal injection and Mr Dutta did carry out the procedure which was completed and this week I was discharged and I feel like a new man as new as a man of 80 can feel. Many thanks Mr Dutta for your hard work and thank you Dr Green for the injection and the watchful eye you kept on me whilst I recovered
